Human–robomobile relations across territories: An explorative workshop (English/French)

Abstract:
Autonomous vehicles will impact urban mobility futures. Yet, its role will largely depend on spatial and societal context. Disaggregating potentials and risks across them is thus paramount to enable adequate preparation.
In this interactive 2-hour workshop, we will explore multiple use cases across the rural-urban transect with socio-economic and generational groups at the centre. Design science methodologies will be utilised within groups to analyse diverse human-relationships, aiming to contribute to a more disaggregated perspective on autonomous urban mobility futures.

Résumé:
Le véhicule autonome aura sans aucun doute un impact sur l’avenir de la mobilité urbaine. Pourtant, son rôle dépendra largement des contextes spatiaux et sociétaux. Il est donc essentiel d’identifier ses potentiels et ses risques dès aujourd’hui.
Dans ce workshop interactif de 2 heures, nous mettrons en scène plusieurs groupes socio-économiques et générationnels au sein du transect rural-urbain par l’intermédiaire de scénarios exploratoires. Les participants seront divisés en groupes et utiliseront des méthodes de science du design pour découvrir de nouvelles interactions dans le contexte de la mobilité autonome urbaine du futur.
