The Anthropolis Chair team is growing!

On April 1st, 2016, the Anthropolis Chair team welcomed a new member: Flore Vallet.
Researcher on Human Centered Design, she will be notably in charge of developing usage situations and eco-innovation approaches for urban systems. Flore Vallet will also be responsible for elaborating teaching proposals and animating student projects based on Human Centered Design. Finally, she will develop a national and international network in her area of expertise.

Biography

Flore Vallet is researcher on Human Centered Design at SystemX and Assistant Professor at CentraleSupélec. Before coming to SystemX, she was an assistant professor at the Mechanical Systems Engineering Department of the Université de Technologie de Compiègne (UTC). She graduated in mechanical engineering design at the ENS Cachan (1993), and obtained a Master’s degree in industrial design from UTC in 1999. In 2012, she completed a PhD on the dimensions of eco-design practices towards education of engineering designers. She is a member of the French EcoSD (Eco-Conception de Systèmes Durables) network and of the Design Society. Her fields of interest are practices of eco-design and eco-innovation in industry and for education, human centered approaches in design and eco-design. Flore has recently coordinated the creation of an eco-design plugin for the EU-FP7 SuPLight project (Sustainable Production of Lightweight solutions) with the transportation industry.
